What's Up Guys,

Dave Rich and I escaped the heat and fished his rig last Thursday and yesterday. We started out around Chinese for one fish, then ran up the front and around to Christys for a couple more then we got a tip from a bro and made a late afternoon run across to Rosa where we got a couple of more good ones. We jammed back to Forneys for the night and rafted up with a couple of other boats and proceeded to bbq, put away a few jack n' cokes and talk story. The anchorage was pretty nice overnight but right outside the potato patch was in full effect with 6'-8' footers stacking up. The next morning we started out above Christys for one fish, then the sharks got on us quickly.

The channel to Rosa looked like it mellowed a bit so we shot across to Skunk pt and started fishing. The current was ripping against the wind which screwed up the drift, so we tied on 1 lb balls and power drifted with the kicker. This semi bounce ball deal was the shit!, over the next few hours we put on 11 more fish and just about plugged the boat. We had to meet the buyer at 2 so we stopped at 12 and blasted back down the backside. We ended up with a number of fatties, including a 43# (a new biggest for me) and a bunch between 25#-38#.

Also, I went out on the 'Jack last Tues to Capa to try and find a yellow, I had one bite on the yo yo all day but it was a 33# yellow, so that was cool.

On Saturday night we took some of our customers on our annual 1.5 day trip out of San Diego. We fished with Captain Pat Cavanaugh and crew aboard the Pacific Dawn. We headed out towards the SE corner of the dumping grounds; we never made it that far. On Sunday morning we started the day off with two albacore stops that produced ~15 albacore (nicer grade 20#) with the last bite around 11:00AM. We trolled the rest of the day in beautiful purple 70 degree water with little wind and no visible life: no birds or bait, not even a breaking fish. We stopped on several meter marks for no bites. Finally, at around 3:30pm we stopped on a meter mark and as soon as the chum hit the water we had several BFT hooked up. The first fish to hit the deck was the biggest; I would estimate it at easily over 50lbs.We stayed on these fish for over four hours. We put 38 BFT on the boat ranging from 30 to 50+ lbs for 13 guys. It sucked having to leave biting bluefin in perfect weather conditions. We also caught 4 smaller grade YFT. Great day on the water.

I ended up getting so BAC buttons on: 16, 20 & 30lb. My hats off the Pat Cavanaugh and crew on the Pacific Dawn for a great trip- these guys fish hard and are great fun.

It was the Capital of Bonsle Rulers and former Central Provinces under the British. Sitabulidi Fort, Nagarkhana, Amba Zari Lake, Telin Kahdi Garden and Tajabad Sharif are the place of interest. Adasa, 27 km away, has a famous group of Temples. The Great Sanskrit Poet Kalidasa composed his immortal classic "Maghdoolain" here.

In Nagpur Balaji Mandir is a famous tourist spot. Here you can worship God Balaji. Being the Maharastra’s second capital, Nagpur is famous for Oranges and is known as Orange Capital. River Nag is flowing through this city, so the city got this name. The best time to visit Nagpur is from November to January.

Hey Bob just wanted to send some pics from a lil outing to the Santa Monica Pier. We were out there after dark when it finally started to cool down to relax and hang out for abit. Kenny was the only one to catch anything. Which was a short halibut, that was released short after some picture taking by some cool canadian tourest we met. Anyways, sorry for the low quality pictures. I forgot to bring my camera out, and had to use my phone.

Ajanta and Ellora Caves

In India, the Ajanta and Ellora caves are must see places. Each and every cave has its uniqueness. In the Rameshwara Cave the Nandi in the courtyard is on a pedestal decorated with vast reliefs of Goddesses with attendants.

Elephanta: Here we have Shiva Mahayogi seated on a lotus upheld by two Nagas. Elephanta has magnificent Gandhara, Ardhangani, Andhakamurti, Natraja and Shrine Dvarapalas. These figures are superb depiction of the art of sculpture in Western India. The big cave is about 120 meters away from two caves which are much damaged. The big cave has two parts consisting of a central hall of 90 ft. square and four aisles each 16 ft. deep and 54 ft. long. The hall has two rows of pillars supporting it. The side walls of each aisle have recesses full of sculptured figures. The South aisle leads to a recess housing the Trimurti of Shiva. The figure of Shiva is 16 ft. high and that of Parvati 12 ft. and both are highly ornamented. In the North Wall of the recess has Shiva and Parvati sitting in Kailash. Below is Ravana shaking Kailash. There are figures of various deities including Ganesha on both sides of Shiva and Parvathi.

Ellora - Tourist Spot in Maharashtra

One of the historic caves of India is "Ellora" which attract large number of tourists every year. 30 kms. from Aurangabad are the Ellora group of 34 caves on a sickle shaped hill. Built between 4th and ;9th centuries, there are 12 Buddhist caves (1-12), 17 Hindu Caves (13-29) and 5 Jain Caves (30-34). The oldest are the Buddhist Caves and are towards the South with the Hindu Caves in the middle and the Jain Caves towards the North.

Cave I is a "Vihara" the oldest one. Cave II is a "Chaitya" which is about 48 feet square exclusive of the galleries on each side. The roof is supported by 12 columns, arranged in a square. The pillars have square bases, with the front row of pillars having dwarf figures on the upper corners of the square portion of the Pillars. There are 13 feet by 14 feet high dwarpals in front ofthe shrine which has huge Buddha seated on a high throne in a teaching pose. There are many carved male and female figures. This is must see place in your life time.
